Wholesale Electric CMMS professionals use their unique combination of field construction experience and product knowledge to produce an accurate and detailed Material Take Offs (MTOs) from the electrical drawings.
All material items must be entered into the database from a jointly approved Bill of Material (BOM). The type of material can vary based on the stage of the project. Material will only be billed when it is issued to the field. Real time access to MTO status and reporting is available through the CMMS system.
Our estimators can utilize historical data to provide baseline quantities for support materials that may not show up on any drawing or detail. The data from the MTO is loaded into the Electronic Project Catalog.
CMMS remains in constant contact with both engineering, procurement, and field construction personnel. They are adept in identifying material that requires field routing and are knowledgeable on the latest material and installation methods.
The basic building block of the successful implementation of Wholesale’s CMMS System is a detailed and accurate Material Take-Off (MTO). To ensure a solid foundation for the project through the MTO process, the CMMS division includes an Estimating Department staffed with estimators possessing over 130 years combined experience in construction and electrical distribution.
The MTO is prepared utilizing the latest drawings, specification, and installation details for the project. By allowing CMMS to perform the MTO, our clients maximize the benefits of our CMMS System. The data collected and recorded through these efforts facilitates all future aspects of the project, allowing material to be more efficiently inventoried, released, tracked and reported.
